This painting was born from a beloved Vietnamese poem, “Tiếng Thu” by Lưu Trọng Lư. A golden deer, wide-eyed in wonder, steps softly on a carpet of dry, yellow leaves.” In “The Coming Fall”, the waterfall sings like distant music, the forest begins to turn gold, and a lone deer pauses on the hill, as if it has just heard that very autumn whisper.
